While there are certainly better bass players on this list, I’d have to go with Kip as well because he is is a great vocalist, front man and because he is on my wife’s “list”.

He was Stanley's twin brother...Standley played stand-up bass...
They had a cousin, too. Stan Lee Clarke. Most famous for some drawings he made, or something (I think), but just look at that name, you know he played in country bands!

I have seen Stanley in several different kinds of music situations over the years:
New Barbarians
Trio! - Bela Fleck, Stanley, and Jean Luc Ponty (JLP).
RTF - Chick, Stanley, Frank Gambale, Lenny White, and JLP.
SMV-Stanley, Marcus, and Victor.

For me, it's Jack Bruce, closely followed by John Wetton. Chris Squire was also an incredible singing bassist. Geddy, Sir Paul, Sting, Greg Lake, Phil Lynott, all of these gentlemen were/are amazing too!
