Favorite tech 21 sansamp pedal

Here's a fun thread for all you sansamp lovers out there. what is your favorite tech 21 sansamp pedal and why? I like the sansamp oxford pedal because it can provide a smooth gritty sound as heard on this youtube clip.

The sound sample at 0:31 is the smooth gritty sound I was talking about and I think it sounds awesome. I know it's modeled after an orange amplifier, but still it sounds awesome. anywho, tell me what sansamp pedal you guys like. it can be any kind of sansamp pedal. it can even be the tech 21 xxl bass edition distortion pedal. that's another pedal I dig too. what's your favorite tech 21 sansamp pedal and why?

My favorite is the Bass Driver DI because makes my Ashdown ABM sound much better, punchy and tight.

Grittier and grindier than the VT and the Leeds by a mile.

Nice clips you got there. the oxford sound totally awesome. If I ever want to buy a new distortion pedal, I honestly would consider buying a tech 21 sansamp oxford. I totally dig the heavy grind that pedal provides.

I love most Sansamp products, but my favorite pedal has to be a tie between the VT Bass for it's grind and growl and the Blonde for its smooth Bassman-esque tone.

BDDI Deluxe. It gives me the 2 tones I want (and don't get out of my current cab/amp), and it gives me flexibility in terms of multiple lines in, more saved spots, etc.

I've both the PBDDI which is my "amp", it is the last in the chain, right into a power amp. I'm very fond of this little magic box. I've also an Oxford which I use for heavier , more distorted tone.

The Classic/original version with the dip switches. It's the only truly essential part of my pedal board that gets used in every situation, bar none. I might not need my drive, or my fuzz, or my EQs, or my delays, but that Sansamp is always on.

The Leeds so far, but I've only tried the BDDI, the GT2, the VT and the Leeds. I wouldn't mind trying the Oxford at some point.

Bigchief - the Leeds was my previous favorite pedal by them, b/c of the overdrive tonality.

The Oxford seems to have a very controllable overdrive as well, but more aggressive in the mids and MUCH clearer on the high end.

To me, the Leeds seems to have a "wet blanket" over the high end, no matter how you try to boost it - it seems to mask frequencies up there.

Para Driver DI. It's a DI box, it's an emergency pre-amp, it's a great OD/distortion/fuzz.

My favorite and only Tech 21 is my loved Red Ripper. As a lover of both fuzz and synthy pedals this pedal is a dream as its a sweet combo of both. Moogie sounds, Brassmaster, envelope filter type sounds and soooo much more!

The only one I own is the PBDDI, so I guess that one is my fave. Based on what I've read, I might want to look into the Oxford.

Oxford replaced the VT on my board, hard to get me to part with it now. Sweet sweet drive on it.

I thought pedals such as the Oxford were only for electric guitars, or can you use them for bass too!

I like the Oxford, but I get more mileage out of the VT Bass. I want to try a Leeds too, and a Californian (or whatever the Mesa/Boogie one is... I love the clean sound on my Mesa F-30 guitar amp with bass, so I'd be interested to see if I can get that without hauling the head around.)

The only one I own is the PBDDI, so I guess that one is my fave. Based on what I've read, I might want to look into the Oxford.

This is me too! I've also had VT Bass, GT2, Classic, Blonde, BDDI... all good.

VT Bass Deluxe. although it seems that many are extolling the virtues of the Oxford. Perhaps they don't dig the Ampeg vibe of the VT. I'm definitely digging it.
