Pretty much Larry Graham thumbing a G the whole time. It still works.
+1 for the two Pavement tracks and Tighten Up
Also, Where is My Mind by the Pixies and most Black Keys songs, especially Gold on the Ceiling and Next Girl.
My favorite uncomplicated bass line would probably be something off the first RATM album. I lot of simple but cool bass lines on that album. Good use of blues scales that helped me break away from playing typical stuff all the time
