In my work, it seems like the browsers are changing weekly - one develops a problem, others develop different problems, and the merry-go-round continues.

My base assumption is that IE isn't in the running at any time - it always stinks, and nannys users to death.

Firefox and Chrome are the most functional, but there are still some sites which haven't been tested with Chrome and on which critical buttons or controls don't appear. Fortunately, Chrome seems to be working better over the past 60 days.

Until recently, Firefox was locking up for a minute or more periodically, but that seems to have diminished in the last couple of weeks.

On my Android phone, Dolphin seems pretty good and it seems to respond fast.

Overall, I'll stay with Firefox on my PC. On an Android phone or tablet, Chrome or Dolphin.

Actually I tested again now with both browsers freshly opened, and Chrome was indeed using less memory. I'd have to check with several tabs open etc. but it is a fact that recently FF has gotten much heavier. Probably a different theme might help.
For years now FF has had a memory leak the longer you run it the more memory it consumes ... https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...kQFjAC&usg=AFQjCNH6FjRWGfcdyimZ5lx-oPcKQAIFeg

And ie has security holes. Lots of them. It is the browser that is most attacked by malware. Well documented.

Chrome. I used to use Firefox but it started freezing and acting really buggy. I like how Chrome makes it so I can take tabs that I have open on the computer and open them on my phone. Also being able to access my bookmarks from my phone is handy as well as is the fact that Google backs up everything.

I use SRWare Iron, because it has all of the speed and plugins of Chrome, but without Google tracking/spying on you. The only downside is you have to make sure to update it yourself once in a while, because they don't send any emails or push any popups etc. for new updates.
I used to like it a lot but the fact is.....it's slower lately and adding add-ons or something as simple as opening an mp3 it over complicates. Chrome does those. Firefox too. So I'm up for a change.....when I get the chance to administer it.
