Fdeck HPF buzzing issues

Maybe someone can help me with this. I don’t have contact info for Francis Deck. When I try to use my Fdeck HPF unit with nothing else (just upright bass plugged into the Fdeck and then into the amp) I get serious buzzing. I’ve tried multiple 9v power supplies and still have the issue. However, when I have the unit on my pedal board getting power from a Voodoo brick, I get no buzzing. I want to be able to just bring the Fdeck for upright gigs and not have to lug a pedal board around, but I have this buzzing issue. Any ideas?

Have you ruled out:
Faulty cables?
The electronics in your upright?

Also:
Do you have a noise suppressor or a compressor or a limiter on your board that may be taming some issues that the upright has that aren't being controlled when you use it solely with the FDeck?

Not a challenge at your troubleshooting abilities just asking to eliminate alternate possibilities.

Have you tried a 9V battery? I find that makes the unit very convenient to use. Nothing more to plug in, no buzzing issues IME and the indicator light gives me plenty of warning.

I own two and they work perfectly for quite a while on a 9 volt battery...IME frequently the best way to a power a single pedal/box/effect when noise is an issue. Additionally I've never had any problem powering them with a OneSpot. @fdeck will help you sort this out!
