fEARful 15/16 vs 12/16

I use a pair of 12/6s cubes and a GK 700RB II for a moderately loud 80's band. One has a tilt-back foot and the other does not. As several others here have pointed out there are several advantages to going the pair of 12/6s route. This is a list of several points made by members of the Greenboy forum that helped me decide what to build.
They are easy to transport (mine are almost exactly 40lbs each, I think the regular 12/6 is slightly lighter than the cube version for some reason. I could be wrong).
You can leave one at your practice space and the other at home to avoid humping gear for practice.
Quiet gig; one cab. Loud gig; bring both. Cuts down on weight for the smaller gigs.
A pair of 12s helps to get your sound higher up without using a tilt back stand.
Cheaper to build 12/6s with alphas than 12/6 plus sub.
Another advantage that I hadn't thought of almost reared its ugly head on our last gig. One of our ancient EV152 PA speakers developed problems. If it had been required we could have used the 12/6s as PA (they actually sound really good) while I played through the remaining PA speaker to get us through the gig. It would not have been ideal, but we could have made it work in a pinch.
TLDR: Go with a pair of 12/6 unless you need a REALLY loud system.

My 15/6 (and it wasn't even a true fearful) kept up with a loud hard rock band, a band that honestly played louder than I ever want to play again and I was uncomfortable with the volume.

Yeah saying the 15/6 is "gig worthy" is one heck of an understatement. With 1100 watts my 15/6 was uncomfortably loud IME.
And yet some heathen types can't get by without 1515/66.... There's loud and then there's alerting GNS.
I could not quite make up my mind... 15/6... 12/6... so I started with the 15/6. I'm now building a 12/6/1 cube. The modularity idea is important to me.

My first run of Greenboy cabs were a 15/6/1, 12/6cube (alphalite) and a 15sub. The 12/6cube-15sub was my favorite combo...for most things anyway
