My 15/6 in progress. So far it is a great experience, if I ever need to build another one it will be much easier now. 
Things to do: apply some clear coat finish, put the lining/stuffing stuff into the box, install the crossover, speakers, handles, corners, connectors...

Damn all you woodworkers making your cabs all purty and stuff. Straight cuts and router work for the handles. We need more hack work (like mine) with crooked cuts filled with lots of PL Premium!

This might be a cop-out, but 1) it'll take me some time to put all the funds together for everything (wood, drivers, etc.) and 2) much easier---

after building my first 15/6 from scratch, i didn't hesitate to order a flat pack (shipping now) for my second build.
even with the flat pack, there will be plenty to keep you occupied.

If I chose to sell my 810e and road case, I'm considering the funds to go toward the entire build. I need a guitar tube amp tho too....
And here we are, the first of my two 15/6/1s is now complete!
Earlier tonight, I went through the inside of the box to tack every wire as taut as possible, and installed sealing gasket tape around the horn and midrange drivers to eliminate the chance of any rattles or buzzing against the baffle. To anyone building one of these - don't skimp making sure all vibration points are eliminated!
The grills were also mounted, and I had a chance to blast some sounds at top volume for a few moments before the wife got home (the entire house was shaking).
Here's a thoroughly underwhelming shot of the 1/2 rig. The second cabinet should be coming online this weekend once I get the now ceruse'd baffle sealcoated so it can be wired up.

I just realized I've been subscribed and watching some of your bass builds! Lurking in the Luthiers corner is one of my favorite parts of TB.

Hey all,
Ever since the 15/6 saw light of day, I haven't gigged my old megablaster Ampeg 1832 Extreme but once or twice, just to make sure I know what is what. The 40"T x 24"W x 24"D behemoth's got 5" wheels on the back, 2" wheels up front, and has to weigh at least 150 pounds. In spite of the wheels it now seems hard to move than it did 5 years ago. It's got rolling inertia like an 810 SVT - though it sounds a lot more like a gigantosaurus that's got longer fangs! It truly used to drop jaws of other players at gigs. If it ever ended up on the dance floor instead of the stage because there wasn't enough room up there, chicks and couples tended to gravitate toward the Extreme to get washed in the girth and warmth of its output while they danced.
But it's gathered dust for years now, has outlived any usefulness as a reference or practice space rig, and costs too much to ship anywhere. And it takes up too much space here. So I've decided to strip it of its drivers (tweet, two 6", two 10", and one 18") and cut the baffle out, put a few shelves in it, and use it as a rolling storage area. That'll prove much more useful.

You don't know where Greenboy lives...he's in a one room cabin without electricity and running water out in the woods. It takes days to get there, and the only way in is by foot. No little kids around. They've all been eaten by bears and wolves.
