feeling hungover when you havent been drinking

Sounds like you aren't sleeping. If you share a bed with another human, ask him/her if you are snoring or waking up frequently at night gasping for air.

The last thing you want to do is start pumping your body with sugar/caffeine/stimulants to compensate and wake up. There could be something serious wrong.

When I first stopped drinking and recovered from the withdrawals I would wake up, smoke a cigarette and walk across the street to the donut shop. Then I would have several donuts washed down with lots of coffee and another cigarette or two. I soon realized why I still felt sick in the morning. :ninja: Some of us crave sugar when we stop drinking, but it's not a good idea to over-do it.

I'm actually thinking diabetes , I'm not overweight by a lot but not in peak condition . I've also been losing weight although I've been trying to.

Go see the doc soon ..

Maybe nothing . I've cut all junk food out . Could be a reaction to that . I swear that I won't drink a drop for two weeks and I wake up and feel a hangover and piss for hours then I feel okay till the next morning.
hmmmmmmmm

If your family has a history of diabetes, it may have made its way to you. Someone who worked for my dad had screaming headaches in the morning and it was so bad they took him to the hospital- they found that it was diabetes. He was a big guy and a heavy drinker, too. Still, genetics plays a huge part in this.
