The pickguard is not original

I'd say he's pretty sure.

correct bevel, correct grain of the tortoise, correct thin black layer. Looks legit.

Looks like an old guard. Not sure why anybody would want to pay that much for a 'hippy strippy' body and an old fragile pickguard personally....
