Fender 400ps, i need some help

Hi!

Im planning on building a clone/copy of an old fender 400ps.

I cant wait on getting started. Im building it to get a louder bassamp, but im also building it as a schoolproject.
Im studying to become a electro-mechanic(Or something i english hehe).

To get to the point.

I really need a layout for the schematic.
Does any body know where to get a layout for this complicated amplifier?

Where to get the best components?

Are there any things to be awere of in this amp that most tubeamps dont have?

Any tips or info are really wellcome!

Thanks!
Cheers from denmark!

Jens

You are going to have a HARD time finding transformers.

Look here.
There are full kits, and layouts too. :)
If you have never built an amp before... DONT START WITH A 400PS!!!!!!

I built a 6M100.

Believe me... it will be much more involved than you'd guess.

Well, I've been brooding over buying this for a few days, but since I live across the country, it's rather impractical to purchase it, as the shipping would be murderous. But hopefully you live closer, cause it's a syeal on the scale of the Great Train Robbery.

Jens, there is a yahoo group for the 400PS, you might want to join and ask there.
I think you've chosen a very difficult project, good luck to you.

DMN, the CL ad is gone - what was it (I'm scared to ask...)?
