I just picked up a set of Labella Deep Talking Bass Flats for my 51P reissue and went with the "through body" version as I've heard the originals are not meant to be strung through the body.
The wraps on the ball end extend over the edge of the bridge, is this the way it was intended to work or are these wraps too long? (e-string pictured below)
