I have enough basses and I prefer my 75 A-neck and my 59 refin.

...and those are good reasons. BTW, is the '59 a P-bass with a "C" neck?

Actually, the funny part is that I first clicked on this thread because I read the title and thought, "A '62 P on the Los Angeles CL and I MISSED IT???? ***???"

Yeah, the 59 is W-I-D-E, like the 62 RI. Gotta be a C.

The 59 might be a hair skinnier. Or maybe it's just a lot more broken in, like it's been played for 50 years....

Skinnier front to back or across the fingerboard?

Good question. I meant across the fingerboard. As you know, they didn't have CNC machines in those days, so there were slight variations.

But maybe front to back, too. Will have to see if I can find the digital calipers and check 'em.....
