D'addario tapes are incredible.I put a set of D'Addario Nylon Tapes on my CB-60SCE yesterday. Man did they ever transform that bass!
It had GHS Pressure Wounds on it before, and I liked them, but they were at the end of their useful life.
The D'Addarios feel and sound terrific. Highly recommend!

Best way to get practice in!Sunday morning, you get up, grab the acoustic bass, play 15 minutes, just for yourself, that's what is wonderful with these instruments. Same in the evening, just before you go to bed, play a little bit, no hassle, just the sound resonating.

You can barely notice it!Okay now .... Let's get back to what this thread is really about: pickups on ABGs... Fender ABGs in particular.
I have a new stealth mount hyper thin pickup that's beautifully out of your way, provides a great sound, acts as a thumbrest, and kills those annoying top panel resonances!

I think you intended this for the Acoustic Fetish Club. They’ve been posting some really abhorrent things lately. Gives me the shakes.Okay now .... Let's get back to what this thread is really about: pickups on ABGs... Fender ABGs in particular.

Exactly, the only difference is length. It stops at 30" scale instead of running out to 34"It's a J-bass neck for all intents and purposes.
It feels like a Jazz neck to me. I now own two Jazz basses partially because of owning a V2The reason I ask is that the Kingman’s neck is supposed to be like a Jazz bass neck. My Kingman V1, which is 34” scale, is definitely like a Jazz bass neck, thin and narrow. I only played a V2 briefly in a nearby mom & pop shop, and don’t really remember how the neck felt.

Cmon B-Mac .... You know I walk on a bum ankle.
You know I refuse the opioids the Dr.s offer me continually.
You know I live in the Emerald Triangle.
I think I posted my new low profile pickup thread on the HiFi forums, the race car forums, a blog about UFOs, and a dating site...
Give a guy a break!

It'll even reverberate flatulence!Plus, that V2 with custom pickup has proprietary cable technology that makes her have that wonderful thump- thump sound of an upright bass with dead strings!
Something about the cable routing...
