What kinds of upgrades have you guys done to your Aerodynes?
I recently purchased the following parts:
* Hipshot 5K400 KickAss Bridge
* Hipshot Ultralite tuners (to help with the neck dive)
* Invalid Link Removed
* Bourns 500k pots for the volume controls
* Switchcraft 1/4" output jack
* [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
I’m performing this makeover next week.

Of all my basses, my Aerodyne has the least amount of mods done to it. All I've done is add a Hipshot BT10 Drop-D tuner and experiment with different strings. If memory serves correct, it's currently wearing a set of .040-.100 Rotosound Nexus black-coated strings.
I really lucked out with mine! I've never felt the need to change the pickups and it balances incredibly well, even with that chunky-ass Drop-D tuner.

Yeah, unfortunately I was not so lucky… mine has the most neck dive of any bass I own. =(
The Ultralites should help. Plus, if push comes to shove, you could install a higher mass bridge.
On a related note, how much does yours weigh?
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I'll start with the Hipshot bridge. If that's not enough, I have a Fender High-mass bridge sitting in a box somewhere. My Aerodyne weighs a very nice 8 lbs. 4 oz.
As soon as I got an email from Reverb saying an offer was made on it, I knew it was you. I was following that ad as soon as it came up, and hesitated on picking it up. But I had no need for a jazz bass.

I put in the Geezers, I consider it an upgrade. Although I really like the original P pick up, In my opinion, the J was a bit noisy and anemic. It’s quieter and ballsier now.
I put in the kick ass bridge and I love the looks. I like being able to adjust the spring spacing a little bit. Absolutely no change in tone to my ear.
The most recent addition was a drop D tuner, which we use for a lot of songs. This was simple. At the advice of @Malak the Mad, I got the chrome and it is really hard to tell that it’s not a perfect match for the stock tuners. I left the other tuners alone.
It’s such an easy bass to modify and all of those can be reversed if not to your liking.
I love the Labella deep talking bass strings but I found the low tension flats to be a bit too floppy for me to dig in. We play a lot of metal and I had to swap them out for something a little stiffer. I had to set the action higher than I like to get the low tension flats to work for me. The tone was great, though, when I could play with a lighter touch.

Do these have the recessed pocket for the bridge? My CIJ has a recessed bridge mount which wouldn’t be condusive to the Hipshot.

No, I built up the pocket with multiple layers of aluminum foil so my grounding still works and you can not see anything…The kickass bridge is larger than the recessed pocket, that is why you can not tell that the foil is layered underneath of it. Hope that made sense!

So my PJs sister arrived today, looks brand new, MINT.
