Sorry, I don’t, but I replaced mine with regular Gibson knobs. Tight fit, but they look nice and they are inexpensive.Hi all. I'm still looking for a smoked chrome knob for my Aerodyne export. Anybody got one for sale? Or any View attachment 4607042 ideas or suggestions where to get one

Disrupt all that sleek, uncluttered awesomeness with a pickguard? Sorry, no. I would never, but that's just me.Hey all. Just picked up an Aerodyne J Bass over the weekend. Any ever put a pickguard on one?
To clarify…has anyone put a pickguard on the version that does not have the control plate and just has the knobs on the body of the bass?
One other thing you should know about Aerodynes. The finish is prone to chips and cracking, more so than usual polyurethane finishes. Driving in screws has to be done very carefully. Otherwise, you might end up with large chips breaking off that can't be covered by the pickguard.Hey all. Just picked up an Aerodyne J Bass over the weekend. Any ever put a pickguard on one?

I wouldn’t advise trying it. Aerodynes have carved tops, but aftermarket pickguards for Jazz basses are flat, so you might have trouble getting it to fit properly. The pickguard might crack under tension, or even worse, pull the fixing screws out of the soft wood and marring the finish, which is on the delicate side.Hey all. There is ZERO reason for that pickguard to be there. ZERO.Disrupt all that sleek, uncluttered awesomeness with a pickguard? Sorry, no. I would never, but that's just me.
Besides…and again, this is just my take on the matter…I never did care much for the "pickguard, but no control plate" look. They look incomplete to me. Case in point…

I've never seen an un-chipped Aerodyne, Export or Non-Export, that didn't have a little mojo, only brand-new models hanging on the wall of music stores. Furthermore, I've even seen new units that had gotten dinged up by someone with slippery fingers or who wasn't being mindful of their surroundings. (<takes a quick glance> "Well, this one will probably be sold as a 'Scratch & Dent' item!"Has anyone seen an (Export) 'Dyne that was not chipped?
A used one I didn't buy was chipped. I noticed one on mine after getting it back from a setup, but I can't say it wasn't there all along.
So one must become a jedi to own an unchipped aerodyne?I've never seen an un-chipped Aerodyne, Export or Non-Export, that didn't have a little mojo, only brand-new models hanging on the wall of music stores. ) I was a little dismayed at the couple of chips on the body and headstock and mentioned to a couple of employees from nearby music stores that I was considering getting the finished repaired.
)The Force is a powerful ally, but I don't think even that is within it's power…So one must become a jedi to own an unchipped aerodyne?
