FedEx showed up with the bass!
It looks and plays great. It was detuned, came with the Gig bag and Allen wrenches.
I can't find any scratches or dents. There is no sticker covering the SN nor is there a USED stamp on the back of the headstock.
There are a few little knots in the back of the neck. I can't feel them. Maybe this is why It was a second?
I briefly plugged it in. The tone is bright for me. I'm planning to replace the strings with either Fender pure nickel RW or Chromes. Can't decide yet.
The strings that came on it don't have silks and have plain brass ball ends.
The set up is good, but I like a flat neck so I'll tweak the truss rod later.
The flat fretboard radius definitely feels more modern that the one on my MIM Classic 50s bass, and frets are larger on the Aerodyne.
The tuners are nice though, and the bridge looks great.
I am a recent P bass player - I've played two pickup basses for 40 some odd years, but there's a lot to be said about the simplicity of a P-bass. This one is pretty cool. I really like the lightweight, the color, the binding, the matching headstock, the lack of a pick guard, and the side mounted jack. It feels and sounds more modern than the Classic 50s one, and I think it'll end up high in the rotation.
