I have a 2014 American Deluxe Jazz with the Volume/Pan/T/T configuration and I'm not sure the pan is working as designed. When set in the middle, I get a blended tone, but even the smallest deviation from the middle is either full bridge, or full neck. It's not exactly a 3-way switch as the tone will change within 1/8" from the middle, but close.
The pot is not part of the circuit board, so I could swap it out to try another pan pot. It doesn't look like an easy job though.
Is this normal? Are others seeing more panning?
