I have plans to build a stack knob jazz bass but would like to use one of the 2 pickup sets in the thread title. Any recommendations on which set to use?

Although I play P basses now I still have one MIJ Fender 75RI with AVRI 74 pickups in it. It is the only Jazz I kept so I would recommend those. Nice and even sounding and aggressive while digging in.

I too just put the pure vintage 74s in my Jazz bass and they are the best jazz pickups I have owned. I am happy with all 3 main tones - the bridge, neck and both on all sound ideal.
