No, I’m talking about the 90’s Sunn/Fender Bassman Pro 300. I’ve owned three SVT classics and two Fender Bassman Pro 300s. Loved em both. I’m in buyers limbo right now lol

Forget them both and get the Super Bassman, it’s a fantastic amp.No, I’m talking about the 90’s Sunn/Fender Bassman Pro 300. I’ve owned three SVT classics and two Fender Bassman Pro 300s. Loved em both. I’m in buyers limbo right now lol

They are not the same at all.
Ampeg amps haven't been manufactured in Vietnam since 2008. And BTW, newer Ampegs sound identical to older ones. For what it's worth, the SVT CL, which is currently manufactured in Viet Nam, is really nothing to write home about. It's hardly worthy of the SVT badge.
There is a late model U.S. made SVT CL that is every bit as good as the early model SVT. I believed Among ceased production of those in 2006. I have one currently, and I have inspected every square inch of it inside and out and I will attest that it is flawlessly assembled with all high quality parts. A great amp that I'll never part with.
Hi OP
