Also make sure it puts out sound through the DI when it’s on post. If it doesn’t, could be a tube that needs to be replaced. If it does, then the power amp probably needs to be fixed or replaced. I think it would be worth doing, but I would contact a fender authorized shop to get an estimate first.

It outputs sound thru the XLR and preamp out. Sounds fantastic! Im looking to find a shop near me for that kind of work. Since im not the original owner, I'd guess the warranty doesn't apply to me... but we shall see!

Jonah, the Pwr Amp Input has a switch that shuts off the preamp from the power amp. Sometimes corrosion on that switch can cause the problem you're seeing. First try connecting the Preamp Out to the Pwr Amp In with a 1/4" instrument cable. If it works like that, it could be that switch is corroded. Then, try running a 1/4" plug in & out of that input several times while turned off and disconnected from electricity. This can sometimes break up said corrosion enough to make it work normally. If not, then an Authorized Fender Service Center is your best bet. Good luck.

I forgot about that! That would be an amazing steal if that was the case.

Hey! Just tried that, and still no dice. Thanks for the help though, ill be taking it to a service center this Monday. In the mean time... ill probably record with it DI this weekend!
