The switch is more subtle that I thought it would be. Three position?
Thank you! And yes, down is the factory series position, middle activates the north coil of the middle pickup and the south coil of the bridge pickup so that they buck the hum of a normal Jazz bass, and the up position sets each pickup to parallel mode with a slightly tamer, almost glassier soundThe switch is more subtle that I thought it would be. Isn't it wired VVT in parallel from the factory? I'm pretty sure mine is...
If it was wired in series from the factory, wouldn't one of the volume knobs be kinda redundant..?
Did the edges of the pickguarg with Sharpie.
After all that beautiful blackness above, here's some lightness.....
I eventually got a VM Jazz 70's to use the body with my fretless neck and put the VM Jazz neck on the Blacktop Jazz. I think it looks pretty good with the pearloid blocks on the pearl white body.
Another project that had input from @Malak the Mad

I will make the assertion that in it's current form, all it would need is a white-pearloid pickguard and it'd be ready to "Viva" something fierce in Las Vegas.![]()

I might have to get one and try it.![]()

$50 USD......
Not gonna happen. After adding shipping it'll chit me nearly $100 over here. That's too much to downs for a laugh.![]()
Double Precision basses really should be more popular!
Love the P-Bass Special necks...I did the same with mine (except for the one with the Aerodyne Jazz neck). Curious as to why you went dots on the Jazz and blocks on the Precision? My recent addition of a Blacktop Precision to keep my Blacktop Jazz company. I have wired each pickup with a switch for series / parallel and both pickups together for series / parallel with a push pull tone pot.

I really wanted to like my Blacktop Jazz with my fretless neck but the bridge pickup tone was just wrong. All pop and tops on the D and G strings and none on the E and A strings. Now, with a normal jazz body i love it.
I guess I'll have to be removed from this club.
