Fender Blacktop series...

I have been wanting to know what these basses sound like. Fender touts them as having the most power (sonic boom), but I am curious if anyone out there owns, or has played them. I am looking at the jazz version, but opinions on either one would be helpful. Thanks

Very true! They can be quite beastly and not for the faint-hearted.

I would like to say "definitely not for the soft rock/adult contemporary crowd", but you can get pretty close to a classic P-bass tone when you solo the neck pickup.

Thanks Malak. I plan on becoming a member soon enough. Can't wait to ask for a number. BTW - I plan on getting the White Chrome Pearl...I've been GASing for this one for quite some time.
