fender bxr club

i did a search and noticed a few people have bxr's. not the most admirable amp but it puts out the low end without costing a fortune. i wish i had a svt or an ashdown or a markbass. but hey i fr a fender bxr 60 and its not too shabby. ill upgrade someday but the bxr holds a place in my heart as my first bass amp.

any other bxr owners feel free to join the club. ill keep a running tally of members.

I used to own a BXR 100. For the money they are pretty decent sounding amps. They are also very well constructed. The line out feature IMO was probably the best perk. It made it possible to play large gigs without any issues. I also always got many compliments on my tone so, I can't complain about them.

I have a Fender BXR 200 Bought new after an old peavy TNT was stolen about 15 years back. Then sort of stopped playing all together.

Now.... the amp gets used every day! 15 years old and brand new! Its perfect for the house.

Does a BXR410 cab count?

i bought my bxr 60 for 75$, my first bass amp and definately a good practice amp. ive played a few ampegs and gk's and the bxr is no comparison but it works sounds decent and was cheap.

but yes its heavy, my 60watt is 55 or so pounds.

line out feature is great, i record with my bxr currently and mic it with an sm57 copy and then line out as well

I just sold my BXR200 head after 12 years of solid preformance.Man these are very under rated amps (loud for 200watts).Ive read countless people complaining about them. I loved mine !! But when it came down to a live setting it couldnt cut it just not enough power. For practice & jamming with the boys it was great.
When pushed hard it would start to lose the nice sound the thick bottom-end would dissapear as well as the low mids.Everything had to be boosted constantly to get the same output.
I give it a 7/10. Others wouldnt be so nice.
I regret selling it to be honest.
