I've been playing bass guitar for 30+ years and playing on many different flatwound designs for the great bulk of those years.
In all that time, I never tried any of Fender's flats.
So I'm hear to report I was more than "pleasantly surprised" by Fender's 9050CL (45-105) flatwound set. For one, they have the highest output of any other flatwound string I've tried. And they give me what I want from a flat: warmth, punch, and ... taste!
I'm impressed!
