Fender Classic Series 70's Jazz Bass

I've always wanted a 70's Jazz Bass but never been able to afford the £1100 - £1500 price tag. DEFINATELY gonna pick one of these up when i see one.

What do you all think, anyone got an idea of the UK price?

This dealer sells the classic 60's for 541 GBP. I'm guessing the 70's model shouldn't be too much more than that, if at all?

Yeah they're def in the 70's position. The bridge pup is nearer the bridge.

Mexico but with american parts supposedly, my classic 50s p is supposed to be the same thing and I have been very happy with the quality of it.

Doesn't that seem a "tad" expensive for a MIM Jazz bass? For the extra 200+ dollars what do I get besides binding and inlays?

noone talks the price. i think, if the quality matches '50 P bass, and price sits around 900 $ - that must be a good deal. i will buy one,for sure.

Mexican Fenders have been getting a lot more expensive. The MIM Duff Mckagen Signature is something around $800.

I think you'll find that the Classic Series and signature models are better quality than the standard MIM basses.
