Fender CS 64 NOS Price?

Oh boy Sweetwater came down to $2800 and free overnight del...its either jazz or lakland 4-14....decisions decisions!

Nice. I'd take the CS personally but you can't go wrong either way.

I owned a CS 64 Jazz Relic that was an amazing bass, by far the best jazz bass I've owned. (It is in my avatar photo.) Many consider it to be Fender's best of their current offerings. I still wish I had it and only sold it because I bought an Elrick 4 fretted and couldn't justify having both. If I recall, my CS 64 Jazz had a flatsawn neck and looking into it at the time, the Fender CS does both. By the way, the neck on mine was great, loved it.

One note regarding price... The 2800 delivered, no tax, is about the right price new from what I've seen. If you look around a bit, you might be able to find a used one in the $2K area.

Sorry I can't help with a comparison to the Lakland. I have my first Lakland being delivered this Wednesday.

Well, I went with the Lakland 4-14....I just decided that I'd rather have an active bass and I love that Lakland sound.....$2400 brand spankin new made it reeeal easy too! I really like 3TSB and sweetwater had that color...well tobacco burst......Even though many would say that's boring...but I don't need fancy tops and BEM... it certainaly won't make me a better bas player

I cant wait...friggin lakland soapbar/jazz pups sound AWESOME...

now here's the thing...why would you want skyline version when for around $800-900 more or so you can get USA build quality 44-14....dont say cause of color. ..that's crazy talk.
