Had to re-attach the knob. Missing a screw in the pickguard...

Bass feels and sounds awesome. I love the relicing. The neck is really nice. I look forward to playing it through my ampeg svt tomorrow.

Yeah I sold my American Vintage 63 that was also sonic blue so it is a very similar bass. The returns you could say are diminishing. The improvements are somewhat slight, arguably, considering the price difference. I think they are worth it though. The neck feels better, it is very smooth and the very well rounded. The relic job is very well done. The body does feel more resonant due to the roasting. It was worth it to me. Plus, in time it doesn’t really matter. This bass feels REALLY good. It is perfect. I think I found my perfect bass and that is pretty cool.

I did a similar thing selling a white 50’s original P and getting my FCS Mary Kay. So worth it. The 50’s is nice, but these CS basses are the best.

She’s a beauty! Love the more saturated Sonic Blue. I think if they had used this color on the AVRI instead on the faded Sonic Blue, I would have purchased one.

I think so but not sure. It’s described as a 59-62 P bass pickup relic

That’s the stock pickup that pretty much goes into every FCS P nowadays unless it’s custom wound...it’s money..

My 2018 CS '64 P-Bass also claims a 59-62 P-Bass pickup. I think this pickup is absolutely wonderful and love the note definition, attack, or punch. I've tried to locate it to purchase for a Lakland Glaub replacement, but I don't think they are available anywhere. Splendid pickup.

Playboy in good health, my man....I know people trash the neck shape on a P, but the FCS P neck is one of the most comfortable and well sculpted necks I’ve ever played, and this is coming from a huge MTD fan..
