A bit late to the party here but I thought I'd let you know that MF has them on sale now, Surf Green only. The website shows $899 but their Feb. mail catalog has it at $799. You have to call in for that price. I used coupon code AFF0889 for an additional 10% off, made it $720 shipped. Item #H96715

Back in 1975 some friends started a garage band, they had a bass but no bass player so they gave me the Phantom Bass (Japanese imitation Hofner) and I had a go. I was terrible but not as bad as the bass so I bought a used EBO. Better but I lost interest.

I still have the Phantom minus all the hardware (makes some noise acoustically) and the EBO was disassembled 35 years ago to refinish (hey, what did I know) and is still in boxes).

I've been trying to learn guitar for some years now but always find myself playing along with the bass line in my head. So I finally bought a nice bass, the color threw me over the top. I dug out my old Acoustic 140 and am having it rehabed and all I need is a speaker cabinet to start making noise again.

Anyway, nice to be here....
