Fender Duff Deluxe Sig bass wiring question

Hey all just checking on something.

So I bought a deluxe Duff bass used recently and someone had been in there messing with the wiring at some point. Overall the thing didn't sound right and the soldering was horrific. I took it all apart and redid it the most logical way I could figure it being.....with help from the SD diagram for the J pup. The standard P is pretty simple.

So my issue is with the toggle in the middle position it's quite a bit lower volume than either of the pickups solo. I know sometimes this is normal but it seems too much to my ear. Like you couldn't switch that toggle mid show without adjusting the volume on the amp or PA because it would be too much. I primarily use both pups on basses like this but tonally it even sounds slightly mid scooped too. Either pup sound better solo than they do together.

I'm wondering if I did something wrong. Does anyone have pics (or can take pics) of wiring on a deluxe model with the Vol/toggle/TBX tone so I may be able to see if I have it right? Only thing I can think of is swapping the leads on the SD to reverse polarity but haven't tried it yet. Thanks much!

I bought a Duff body that was wired incorrectly and posed a similar question. Someone was kind enough to post a link to the owner manual. There is a wiring diagram on page 3.

I think I have the red and white soldered together which might be the issue. Mines only got the one volume so the pickups go to the switch then to the master volume then tbx but still that's the only difference I can see. I'll have to try that I guess.
