Does anyone out there in Bassland use Fender flatwound strings, an if so...in your opinion, how do they compare to other name brand strings?

Since this is one of the threads that got me interested in trying out the Fender 9050 flats, I'm here to share a few of my initial impressions.
When I acquired my 2008 Fender Highway One Jazz five and a half years ago, I had it set up with a set of D'Addario Chromes (40-60-80-100), which stayed on it for the first four years. Then eighteen months ago, I (foolishly) decided to go on a string journey (ie detour) by flirting with rounds. Now, I'm very happy to be back with flats again.
Fender 9050L (45-60-80-100): (Keep in mind these are less than two weeks old.)
- Clear and articulate tone with good sustain.
- Nice playing feel in terms of overall tension - not too stiff, not too loose, just right. (Not quite as stiff as the Chromes.)
- Not any harder to play on than the D'Addario EXL170BT set they replaced, except so much smoother as any flats should be. (Contrary to a few comments I've read, they are not "rough" in any way.)
- Going from D'A Nickel Rounds (45-60-80-107) to this set, my bass needed very little adjustments in terms of setup - not even any truss rod tweak.
- The 45G balances better with the rest both in terms of tension and tone. I didn't like the way the 40G on the Chromes stayed noticeably brighter than the rest even after four years.
- I was quite upset when Fender decided to discontinue the 9050CL set (45-60-80-105) a short while ago as I thought it was the best-balanced set. So, I was a little concerned about the 100E on this new set at first, but pleasantly surprised at how strong it actually is. Slightly better note definition than the 100E on my old Chromes as well.
- And last but not least, I like the way they fit my bass properly. (Gorgeous in Green)

PLEASE if you do buy them, do not judge these strings untill you have at least 2-4 weeks of solid play time on them.
I find these flats to sound awful at first and was the reason back in the day i gave up on them.
But after weeks of play time they settle down and after a month or two they reach a level of outstanding.
However for me, coming from rounds, the sound of a fresh 9050L set easily got me hooked.
