Different basses, both good...
Not everyone adapts to the 35" scale...
If you're a jazz guy you'll probably miss the Fender. The 55-94 will be a little more versatile, will sound a little bolder and maybe have richer mids.
If you get a chance to play both, you'll know... Myself, Lakland...
The Marcus Miller bass is a pretty awesome jazz bass if you are looking for that tone. The Lakland basses are VERY flexible so you will be able to get different sorts of sounds out of it. I can get rough approximations of everything from a p bass, to a jazz bass, to a music man, even a little Wal out of my 44-02 with Barts in it.
The necks are different and the bodies are different, so if you are a guy that has been playing Fender jazz basses for years, it will be a change.
If you want "the" jazz tone, stick to your Miller. If you are looking to broaden out a little, go with the Lakland. I personally would not swap my Lakland for any Fender, but that's me.

Thanks
I've been a session player for almost 3 years, I really need bass who can suit in any music, many friends of mine said Lakland is the best option, but you got it right, I've been played this fender for years and I like it a lot, but somehow it can't work in some condition that I need, but it is a awesome and my best bass for now...lakland Is really some new things / experience for me, anyway thanks for your opinion
