Fender FSR Club

yeah.. I bought one of those AND the amber one with the rosewood board and swapped the necks. I sold the amber one with the maple on it. so even though its a swapped neck it still from an American FSR of the same year.

Hi! I would like to join the club. Can I get a number? I have a Fender FSR Jazz that I purchased in 2007. This is a bass that I truly love to play. The only upgrade that I've done to it over the past 7 years is swapped the stock bridge for a Leo Quan Badass Bass II. I'm now thinking of upgrading my pickups to a set of Bartolini 9J1 jazz pickups. Has anyone else installed these pickups? What are your thoughts?

Does anyone else have one of these Fenders? I bought mine in 05 and it was a "FSR" and is MIM, but I have only seen maybe one other one online. I kept the original pickups, but put in vintage noiseless pickups in a few years after. Lacquered neck, came just as the bass (no case) with the serial#MZ4150364.

You most certainly can have a number, and yours is #84 :)
I have no idea how the Barts sound, have you tried asking in the Pickups and Electronics forum?

Oooooh, that's one seriously good looking Jazz Bass! :woot:
I would really like to see a close up picture of the body, the finish looks absolutely stunning.
I assume you want a number as well, yours is #85 :)

I 1st tried Fender CS-60's in my MIM FSR and found them to be tinny sounding then after reading about the Aguilar dual coil noiseless 60's Jazx pickups I bought a set . Unlike Fralin, Fender, and Seymour Duncan dual coil noiseless pickups these sound 90-95 percent the same as there vintage single coils and ultra quiet too. I got my from a fellow TB'r at bassstringsonline.com with a discount for being a TB'r. Can't say enough good things about them. Excellent pickups. I used measurement from the strings first then the adjusted to my ear.

Good Morning Sir,
Thank you for your comment and the number! Yes, it is the Thomann 60th Anniversary FSR. Yes again, it is a real beauty and I am very happy with it.
The pickguard is not white, it is parchment (a more or less yellow and creamy vintage white). It perfectly fits to the violin burst.

As for the tort PG: No, I am not sure... :D
