Fender FSR Club

Hehe, the inside of the Dawsons shop in Manchester (UK) is on Google Street View. They've been taking photos there in june 2012 - the same time they had two American Standard Hand Stained Ash FSRs in the shop. The two basses can be seen in the 1st. floor window, it's a mahogany Precision and a wine red Jazz. I remember that Precision hanging there in july 2012, it was #4 of the ones signed by Jeff Allen :)

Wow..oh how I want that P

Well, they both look like they have nice grain. I have a Wine Red Jazz (#3 signed by Jeff Allen), and I'd have to say that the grain on the front of the Wine Red P looks better than mine. Not that mine looks bad. Not sure why they haven't sold unless they're simply priced too high.

The "street" view from inside the shop is from june 2012, both basses were sold in august that year, as far as I remember. The wine red jazz was also signed, but I can't remember the number. I saw these two in that shop shortly after I bought mine in Norway.

View attachment 386713OK, I've been waiting to get a better pic of my Fender FSR Precision but this iPhone pic will have to do for now.

Picked it up locally last month and gave it a good setup, strings and some of that smell-good lemon rosewood oil.

I really like the way it sounds and looks. Best MIM P I've scored to date. Definitely a sleeper!

Hey am I #69? Cool if so! AtlantaDave

I just got the body to this bass recently, and I tried it out on the neck to my other FSR P. Wonderful looking body and the setup works well, but the pickup is overly hot and lacks some midrange frequency response. I'm considering replacing it for a mellower and fuller US pickup.

I am kinda new to Bass, the FSR Jazz, and the forum!

I purchased a Ibanez Soundgear 370 a couple of weeks ago at GC, and liked it at first but it felt too...just there if that makes sense.

Well...I went in yesterday to exchange an Acoustic B200 that I have had for a year or so (it hummed BAD), and I saw the FSR and thought to myself, "self, I think i should play you". I really wanted a Jazz in the first place.

It took all of 2 seconds to sell me on it. It played better than the standard that was $100 more! If it had been there when I got my Ibanez, I wouldn't have owned an Ibanez!

GC is currently selling the natural ash FSR jazz for $424, for anyone still holding out! I wonder if they're finally retiring this particular model.

And that satin burst P up above is sick looking. I'm slightly jealous. Congrats!
