UPS delivered my FSR P yesterday. It's in near-perfect condition except for one tiny surface scratch that's barely noticeable. I'll be swapping out the white pg with a black one when it arrives in the mail in the next few days. The pickups, bridge and tuners will remain. I'm also planning on swapping out the rounds for flats.

May I have a number, please? Thanks!

Of course you may! And your number is 111! Welcome to the club! :)

miss my ash jazz fsr...if anyone has one for sale PM me
Hope you find one. I have a 2015 Fender FSR Standard Jazz. Put a 2011 Hwy One neck with Rosewood finger board and Posiflex carbon rod truss with heal adjustment still in the original factory white wrap and box. It matches the Natural Ash body perfectly with no dead spots , good action and feel, plus lots of sustain when needed. I really like the satin poly finish on this neck vs the previous Hwy 1 thin dull nitro

Good day all,
Fender Musical Instruments - FSR Deluxe Ash Jazz Bass Guitar - Natural
I'm currently gassing pretty badly for one of these beauties and am looking for any feedback anyone has about what they like or don't like. Just got thru this whole thread and it did nothing to quell my GAS.
I have messed around briefly on a couple in store, not amped up, and have found them to be pretty comfy. Definitely a different feel than my '87 Warwick Streamer.
I noticed that several folks change the bridge and Pups; is that mainly personal preference or is there a bridge/Pup 'issue'?
Ultimately I'm searching for a used one, so if ya've got one collecting dust, lemme know.
Thanks for your input in advance.
Cheers!

They are great basses. For the current price new, I would buy a used American standard instead-won't need the upgrades. But for a natural jazz bass, it is pretty great. I would upgrade strings first. Then if not happy, upgrade pickups. Then should be pretty set. Bridge is more preference. Not necessary.

I have a 2008 FSR 2 piece body.very nice. Others are 3 or more, but still look nice.

I use mine every day

I paid like 650 for my nitro honey burst P, just needed a bridge upgrade(cheap one it came with fell apart) and Fender Original 62 p-ups. Very affordable upgrades, still way under a new USA standard and it really does sound fantastic, great neck feel...has that grindy gank for days.

Back from the shop-my 2008 Fender FSR Jazz Bass (natural ash). I bought her new back then. Played the heck out of it with a poor set up and sky high action.

The neck was a bit twisted, but I had it heat treated and it came back now the action is nice.

It is now outfitted with the following:

CS 60 Pups
CTS pots (push-pull series parallel) and orange drop cap
Vintage bridge with threaded saddles
Tug bar
Fender 7150 M Pure Nickle strings

This was my first and will always be my number 1. I am digging the push pull pot....fun higher output option to have.
