Fender Highway One Jazz - Honey Blonde Confusion

Hey all, working on a local sale of what should be a 2006 Fender Highway One Jazz Bass. The seller is the second owner, and to his knowledge everything is original. The only issue is the finish itself, simply because it looks so far apart from any Highway One color I've seen.

Below is a photo of "Honey Blonde" from this line.

Now, the photos the seller sent/photos from the listing.

Bridge matches the Badass Bridge on these models, Headstock Decal checks out as well. The serial doesn't come back with anything, but apparently that's common with these.

Can anyone provide any advice on this?

Did the Jazz Basses ever come in Olympic White? I couldn't find any examples or documentation for basses in that color unless I'm looking past something.

I have seen one or two advertised as such but I think they officially came in Satin Blonde and Honey Blonde finish.

I had a Hwy 1 Precision body in one or the other blonde years ago; to the best of my memory, it very much resembled the final two seller images you show.

Reason for asking is selfish. I have a 2006 sunburst jazz I am looking to part with.

not sure if that is what it's called but you can definitely see the wood grain in the finish.

For the 2nd highway one series (Badass bridge), I found a list of all available colors, couldn't find anything on Satin Blonde.

I would ask some questions. That looks like Olympic White to me as well with an added tort guard.

I had the black version of this years ago that I also purchased used. My recollection is that the seller in my case included the original white guard because he had replaced it with a tort. I don't recall tort being an option. A lot of guys used these as a high quality, easily upgradable bass.

It does seem too white to me. Just strange that someone would go the length to have the period-accurate badass bridge (apparently the retail ones didn't have slotted saddles in the 2000's), as well as a highway one neck.

I had a Highway One P-Bass in Honey Blonde. (That was the name of the color - not Honey Blonde Transparent.) The color could look very different in different lighting. I had some gig photos but can't find them. The bass looked almost white in the gig photos. But the first pic below is what it looked like most of the time.

As you can see, I eventually swapped out the original pickguard for a brown tort.

Seems sellers seem to reference on 1st. Gen (2003) Most likely a just a heavier finished Satin Honey Blonde transparent.

Yeah, that's a strange one. Those examples are from the original run (Highway 1) instead of Highway One, so they have the bent saddle bridges and different logo + truss adjust at the top.

Ah gotcha, IDK Will damn sure looks like Oly White in the first couple of pics tho…

I think the Olympic white look of the OP's bass looks better than honey blonde. IMO, even a refin wouldn't significantly affect the value. If it's a genuine Fender, I'd grab it.

All I've seen are the BA versions of the Jazz and every white or blond, depending on who's describing it, shows some grain through the finish.
Also, all the Highway 1 basses I've seen are not glossy like the one in OP's post. My black one got played quite a bit for a few years and it is semi polished where my right arm laid across it while playing, otherwise it's a satin black. Same with my red one only not as much since it gets less use.
