I have an obsession for wood. The musical kind.
I recently posted a little while ago about a new Highway One P that I tried at a local shop.
I'm NOT a Fender guy, but this was, hands-down, the BEST sounding P I've ever heard. This was doing a direct A/B comparison to an Am Std P, also. The H-One had more slice and power to me, even though the Am Std had a slighty straighter neck on the treble side.
Just for the hell of it, and I think this is a great test for a P, I cranked the tone almost all the way and ran through "Shy Boy"...OH MY GOD. I was going through an SWR SM-500 and an Ampeg SVTHLF 410.
There was some buzzing on the fretboard, but the bass played sooo well when I adjusted the action pretty low.
And that's all I'm gonna say.
