Has anyone got any settings to share that would help me shape my tone of my new jag bass. I've never use an active preamp before

The Jag preamp is boost only, and a little goes a long way. When I had a Jag I liked to boost the bass a tiny bit, then roll off the passive tone knob a quarter turn or so. This gave me a deep, rich tone. The series/parallel switch gives you some fun tone options, too.
I play mine in passive mode with the series switch on. I actually have to dial out some lows on my hartke vxl bass attack pre/pedal, beause the Jaguar is so huge. also, try some rotosound swing bass 66 steel strings. turn your highest treble down and tweak the mids to your taste. i think rotos work realy well with jag pickups.
I find the treble boost to be a bit overpowering so I say boost the bass a lot and the treble a little. Or boost bass and treble a lot and use the series parallell switch.
