Fender Japan Limited Edition Basses for 2019

I’m specifically looking at the hybrid precision models
Reading what Scott had to say, I do agree that off the rack it does have a terrible action and the stock strings are rubbish but I bought one and have set it up with a super low action which is easy to achieve due the 250mm radius so flatter fretboard and changed to chrome flats and it plays beautifully. Remember it has American vintage pick ups and they are great. You may have brought something else by now but they are a great P Bass

I got the '60s Traditional Fretless Jazz in Three Color Burst from CME as a "used" (I promise you it was NOT-the plastic was still on the tuners) instrument for $650 over July 4th weekend. It's amazing. Maybe they set it up (I doubt it) but I pulled it out of the bag and fell in love. I really want a fretted as well (I'd prefer the hybrid) but right now CME only has the Trads in colors I would prefer not to have. I stalk daily. Hoping for a Labor Day sale.

Anyone else get their hands on one of these? These models seem to have flown under the radar here...

I have to laugh - I was checking out your YouTube channel the other day as you’re one of the only ones to have videos of the PB62 in action. Great playing by the way.

I recently bought a used 2015 PB62, and all I can say is that the Japanese Fenders are fantastic instruments. Great necks, but I’m still not 100% sold on the electronics of mine. The mids aren’t as “chewy” as I expect in a P.

Thanks! :) :)

That was my experience of the PB62 too.
