Fender Jazz - 22 Fret neck?

Hi all,
This is my first post on TB, although I have been a long time lurker.

I am the owner of a Fender 22 Fret Jazz bass (a.k.a Boner Bass). Long story short, the trust rod on the neck snaped and I have been trying to find either a place to repair the neck or a vendor who would make a replacement neck. Places such as Warmouth etc. do not make a 22 fret neck. I think I have tried them all at this point. Must not be much demand.

Anyway, I know there are tons of knowledgeable folks here at TB, anyone have any suggestions?

Why not just replace the rod? It will probably cost around the same as a new neck anyhow, but just about any luthier could do the work for you. I'm sure google could find you a list of instrument repair shops in NYC and calling a few of them should get you some estimates on repair.
