Fender Jazz 24 Electronics

What do you suggest as a replesement for the BEQ-3 pre amp and/or bickups for the Fender Jazz 24 Korean made. This was one of my best sounding basses until the board fried. I have researched for days. I cant get a real good answer from any source.

i've seen lots of them die.

any good preamp will be an upgrade (i've usually installed the EMG BTS control, using the mini-toggle as a true-bypass for active/passive switching.)

Thanks for the feedback. I'll check them out. I'd like to get this bass back into the mix, as it was the best sounding one I had. I'm going to try to insert the wiring diagram for this bass.
Previously the answers I got were to replace with an SD designed wiring harness, basically the replacement for the BEQ-3, the Aguilar looked like a possible way to go. I apologize for not having the part numbers handy.

Just found this old thread. I too am now in the same boat, looking for a good preamp for my Jazz 24. Prior owner put in great pups. I would really like to find a pre that will allow me to use the mini toggle as a true passive bypass, but if I am going to do that, I want to have a passive tone control as well. Can anyone recommend something that will work well?
