fender jazz bass 24, worth buying?

hey i was wondering if people can tell me if the fender jazz bass 24 is worth buying. i wanna try one since i have an active 24 fret jazz type bass (esp b104) but i have grown bored of it and it looks kinda ugly. the fender jazz bass 24 shares similar quality but looks better, and probably sounds better.

the reason i ask is because i have been following them on ebay for a little while and there doesnt seem to be many ppl bidding on them, any reason why they arent in much of a demand?

They're discontinued. I just think they weren't "classic" enough for people. 24 frets and active electronics. I played one and I'm not usually into active, but it sounded cool. Slim neck, lighter body. If I was rolling over in dough, I'm sure I'd have bought it at the time.

ya i know it was discontinued which is why i figure that if i want to buy one eventually it should be sooner than later because they wont be around forever, at least not at a fairly good price (400 including shipping possibly?)

i like actike pickups, the variation in tones you can get is good, i think, i dont know why people dont like them, the battery thing is annoying yes but i live with it
