Fender Jazz Bass neck question

Review the pics at this link.
Yes, period correct 1968, the C logo was introduced and it was the last year with the strapholder on the headstock.
I don't see anything to disqualify it, but the heel date stamp is critical to its value. Especially for resale.
Is there any faint imprint on the heel?

No answer.
But why are you separating the neck from the body? (Just curious)
I just bought the neck ,, I didnt want the body because it was not of that period and wasnt even sure it was a fender body .

Yeah we definitely need a pic of the back of the headstock. Lack of hootenanny button and R tuners would nail it down to ‘72/‘73. Otherwise, it would be ‘69-‘71.
I would like to ask you another question about this neck The
Yep, that’s an early ‘68 in your pic. Mid ‘68 the headstock logo changed to the TV logo like we see in the OP.

Just about the only thing that will make me believe the neck in the OP is a ‘68 is if there’s a strap button on the back of the headstock. That disappeared in ‘69.
hey Matt. One other question. The shell looking inlays are good except there are a few that almost look as if they are transparent but they don’t look like they were ever replaced. Is this common for the inlays over time to become see through ?
