Fender Jazz bass through 4 amps - Link in description

We have found a unique way to use multiple amps to create cords and different fuzz bass sounds. I have attached a YT link to a recording where we used a Fender Jazz (modded Squire, believe it or not) with hum-bucker Jazz pickups and super light strings. Along with 4 different amps. 1. bass amp (Mark Bass) 2. Vox AC 10 thinned out bass 3. Helix going an octave up, and a multitude of effects 4. Strmon Iridium with Digitech Wammy and Pog to create the desired cords.

Think of it like two bass sounds and two guitar sounds that can all be switched on an off, with various effect changes. Maybe some bass players worst nightmare would be to use this rig lol

This song uses simple power cords, but other songs we have are becoming more complex in the cords we can create with just a bass.

We would love to know what the bass community thinks of our experiments, and if anyone has some suggestions we can try. We have learned a lot from others.

Thanks in advance!

Who's taking enjoyment from others misfortune? Are you sure you mean that word?
1. me
2. yup

To clarify- some time back, after this upgrade, the site owner Paul, in His Infinite Wisdom and Thoughtful Kindness, took pity on those poor helpless souls on the BG side of the board who were constantly Lost and Foundering and posting things like BEST BASS FOR METAL or HAVE YOU TRIED ROTOSOUNDS etc. on the DB side of the board. So he Wrought from Nothingness first the big (nay, giant) prefix DOUBLE BASS that appeared as if a banner from On High before each post that pertained to the eponymous instrument, later accommodating the Hue and Cry for something perhaps a bit more diminutive. Thus, the post prefix DB came into being and there was joy in the land.

Seemingly to no avail. Because, it seems, although there have been 0 cross postings on the BG side by DB ists, even the bloody prefix seems to be lost on The Lost.

Maybe shock collars?

If I hadn't been told, I wouldn't have known what went into the sound, but either way...that was a fun song! 🤘😆

It was fixed ;)

Whatever the category failure, it's good to see some adventurous ideas.
Very satisfying I expect

I once used an upturned 12" drainpipe as an ext cab slave in a residency, along with 2 other amps. It shook the place nicely with a Ric 4001 but too heavy to gig with.

Very satisfying indeed :) WOW, that sounds massive! When you say "too heavy" you're referring to that Ric 4001, right haha! The rig I have has a lot of gear, but is gig ready. Set up is a bit of a checklist, but only one amp gets mic'ed. The rest are DI. The sound person just has to wrap their mind around the idea that there are "ghost players" on stage. Most have no problem getting the concept.
