Fender Kingman strings

I just got a Fender Kingman acoustic bass for some acoustic only shows we will be playing. I'm a flats player on all my other basses and the factory strings that came with the bass are no good for me. My confusion is according to Fender, the factory strings are Fender 8060 which are long scale strings. The Kingman has a 30" scale length and I measure 32" from the nut to the pegs. So, what in the heck to I order? Long scale like the factory strings, medium scale which seems right to me or ??? I'm thinking of trying tapewounds for this bass. Any insight is appreciated.

I put on LaBella tape wounds, short scale. I ended up cutting off the ball end silk on the E string to reduce the bulk at the bridge. They barely clear the nut but the medium scale strings seem too long. Nice, mellow sound.
