Fender MIM Club Photos

I don't know if this thread is for discussion or mostly just photos. If you want me to move this, that's fine.

So, why do some Precisions come set up with the pickups almost in an A shape height? Meaning E side low, A higher, D higher/same as A, G low. If they are trying to compensate to even the sound, wouldn't it be E to G progressively a little higher?
An A shape height doesn't make sense to me.

It's not just on my bass. I saw several in the store set up this way. What am I missing?

My baby, its a 2003 MIM Jazz with 77' Jazz pickups.

It's keeps the poles somewhat equal distance to the strings, considering the radiused fingerboard.

Man, between my growing desire to have a back-to-basics four-string Jazz and this thread, I'm halfway to placing an order with Musician's Friend as we speak. Luckily, the fiancee has train me out of non-discussed purchases. ;)

I'm caught between the FSR ash-bodied MF/GC special run (but lament the lack of maple fretboard, to which I've discovered I prefer) or a Geddy Lee signature (which loses the ash body but gains the maple 'board... but has the ultra-thin neck I'm not so much a fan of. Plus it negates my existence in this thread :D )

Ahh, the pressure!

Just to stoke your GAS some more: :)

My P MIM acquisition, which just arrived yesterday, came through MF. I didn't want to, because I really wanted to hand pick it, but I was set on Wine, and the local places didn't have it. [Plus, the local places weren't yet selling the very latest ones, which seem to have a couple of upgrades as well as the gig bag thrown in.]

The new P arrived from MF in very sweet shape. ;)

Yeah, I think the color is awesome, too.

I don't have any desire - yet :) - to mod it, beyond shielding it.

That bass came with Perfect intonation out of the box. I Always have to do at least a little tweak, but there was None to do here.

Really enjoying the bass. My only *mod* :) was putting nice new Chromes on. Shweet.

Ok, where's my Club Number?
