This is the mark hoppus right? You change the neck?

Sorry, haven't checked this thread in awhile. It IS a Hoppus with a neck swap, but the neck is a MIM Precision Special so it still qualifies, right? :) (One of the nicest necks I've played BTW)

I also added a control plate and tone knob. It's gone now. I kinda miss it.

I would have said that a purple bass would be ugly before now... nice.
Thanks man. I have gone from loving the color to hating it back to loving it. I came close to refinishing it, but I decided it wasn't worth spending $350 to refinish a bass I bought for $300 new. I'm so glad I kept the original finish now. You definitely don't see many purple jazzes!

Penguin, the misaligned control cover and pickguard joint is common. Sucks, but it's on all my MIM's.
At least it's just cosmetic. It looks like they beveled the area that meets the control plate when they should have left it square.
No excuse for the misaligned tuner though... is the ferrule in there or is it just really poorly done?
They just missed with the drill, I was surprised that wasn't done by template or CNC. It was an easy fix at least.
