Fender MIM Deluxe Active Jazz Bass?

I've got a black MIM with Suhr pre and pups. Love it. Very punchy and plenty of thump. Like the ones from the 1997 - 2000 era with large single pole Suhr's.

Had one of those myself. I regret parting with it, because the ones after that don't sound quite as good. They were using the same pickups and preamps back then as in the MIA Deluxes, and that was the major deciding factor for me.

I also have a black 1999 MIM with original Suhr pre and pups. I love this bass and the tone is incredible.

Hello, one of these is for sale in my town, i like its look.
I usually love dark rosewood, but here I like this pale look with the yellow and the maple head color. It looks like Pau Ferro to me, is it really rosewood ? it is said to be :

I already have and love my standard 1997 MiM JB but I might go look this one to treat me a present and have one maybe more "modern" sounding with rounds.
