All I can say is wow! Happy for you that they sent all those items. Nathan did mention a care package, but I figured I'd get a t-shirt or something. I think I'll get back to him today.@RColie sorry to hear that you're is still waiting on tuners. I've been told before that it was in final assembly and then some other issue came up. So, I'm cautiously optimistic.
Just curious if at any time during this process Nathan offered to send you a care package of free stuff to make up for the delays? After my second delay, (about 30 days into the build) Bradley offered to send me some free stuff like strings, picks, accessories, etc, because I had been very patient and understanding. I replied to him that I was very appreciative of the offer but didn't need any picks of t-shirts but I did go through the Fender website and came up with a list of some things I may be interested if possible. They were the Fender Telepath Wireless System, Fender Bassman Compressor Pedal, Fender 3.5" Premium Leather Strap, Fender 10' Professional Guitar Cable and a Fender Baseball cap. To my surprise a box arrived two days later with ALL OF THAT!! I tallied it up and it is worth about $550! So despite waiting over 8 weeks, I really can not complain about the delay. They really took care of me. And being patient and understanding pays off.
PS. I was saving this story for when I made a post about my full experience with the Fender Mod Shop, but I just wanted to see if they were treating you the same way.

Hmm, maybe that’s something different for 2026?Interesting that the serial is on the plate. Mine it's on the neck.

Nah, it's not too new. I got mine in 2024 and it has the MOD SHOP stamped plate. Weirdly though, the plate on mine starts with an "MN23####".Hmm, maybe that’s something different for 2026?I like it on the plate. Like in the very old days.
It’s dead quiet. There is a grounding wire and a brass plate under the pickups. So it works. That bass looks really sweet. Looks like although no copper shielding they did some paint and foil on the pickguard? Not sure how effective that really is.
One of my hang ups about Fender in general is that you can spend north of a grand and still need to shield the dang thing yourself.
It appears to me it is painted with shielding paint in the cavities. It’s dead quiet. There is a grounding wire and a brass plate under the pickups. So it works.
I have a pair of Mod Shop Jazz basses, both with chambered ash bodies. They're both in the mid-7 pound range. I was able to find a couple of Pro-II Jazz basses (alder) in the mid-8s, which is unusual, so the chambered ash will save at least a pound, maybe more.Has anybody here ordered a bass with the chambered ash option? Wondering how that would compare sound wise and weight wise to alder.
I never got a response after the automated email but having contacted a tech on the phone regarding a used Charvel guitar, and subsequent email exchange a few weeks ago, I decided to hit the same tech about my Mod Shop Jazz. Two days letter he sent me this-Here is the email address for Fender Consumer Relations - [email protected]
I got an automated response stating that the question will be addressed and I should hear from them within five business days-
