I could a know few but I'm just going to name a one I feel you may have never heard of



Lukas the bassist of King Gizzard is more of a guy who just plays what he's told to. The main crew Stu and Joey write the bass parts. Not at all saying he's a bad player, he is a sick player and it's amazing he puts up and plays with what they write for him. This is only their simpler album (However this bass is microtonal though so that was probably a trip for him!) They made an album of crazy time signatures and constant switching. Bass can be heard in all of their albums, some cool solos and shines a lot in their Sketches of Brunswick East album, but all of them are great.

(Yes he played metal with this bass on their thrash album lol!)

He plays Sereks now, which is cool. I didn’t know he didn’t write his own parts, he was enjoyable when I saw them live. Those lead guys are next level though so I could see them having creative control.
