That is a great color, is it some shade of orange or is that the lighting? Very cool! :thumbsup:

I feel like the bag keeps things snug without introducing pressure. If it got dropped from 20' right on the tuner side of the headstock, there might be a bent key (vs a snapped neck in my old stock Fender bag); short some insane scenario like that, this bass is REALLY thoroughly and safely protected. Top and bottom are even thicker than the very plush sides, feels like.

I'm also moving the neck support just a bit for even more tuner breathing room.

Looks good! I've got the same case, but the dual bass version (a P & a J live in there at the moment). Tempted to pick up a dual guitar version for my Mustang & SS Stingray, seeing as they both usually come to practice with me.

Anyone got a PJ in the Sherwood Green, Butterscotch Blonde or Lake Placid Blue colours? I'm tempted to get a second, after a few improvements I'm absolutely in love with my shell pink, and I'm barely resisting the urge to get a second.

Some stock photos for those colours are impressing me massively, and some are making me iffy, and I just can't decide which I like best. Any photos in the wild could be a great help :)

I know someone on here plays a mustang and a short scale stingray. Very tempted to pick up the new limited edition short scales stingrays but was curious about the differences and comparisons. Id want it mostly for picks and im a little nervous about the bridge mostly.

I have the MIM PJ Mustang and the SBMM Stingray shorty.

I like the chunkiness of the neck on the Mustang better. The Stingray feels a little slim for me. Both have a 1.5" nut width, which is perfect for me.

Also, I tend to play with a pick and with my palm anchored at the bridge right at the saddles. No problems with the Mustang, but I keep hitting the pickup with my pick on the Stingray. I've lowered the pickup a bit to compensate, but it does sound a bit weaker. I guess I could stand to improve my picking technique a bit.

I have both, really like both of them. I play them with a pick and never had any problems - but I've never owned a bass with any pickup configuration that's been an issue for that, so take it with a pinch of salt. I think I'm just pretty adaptable to where I pick.

Mustang maybe has a chunkier neck than the Ray but I don't think there's much in it. Stingray has a more comfortable body imo, with contours & arm rest, I had to get the Mustang to just the right strap height to feel as comfortable on. Both play great, both sound great. Tuners weak point on both, changed them on the Mustang, may do on the Ray one day as well.

I really like the bridge on the Ray. What was concerning you about it? I did swap the original Mustang bridge to a Fender hi mass that I prefer.

The bridge looks small. And I recently did the same mod to my mustang for a high mass and im absolutely in love with it. Amd I know its harder to find parts to replace/upgrade stingrays
